Product design changes don’t stay

Twice now i Have i changed all products use 1 column Page Layout and Product Info Column for the Display Product Options In settings on the design tab and twice I have come back to them being changed to No Layout Updates and Block After Info Column.

Is there anything in the theme that would force all products to change to these settings regardless of what I set in the backend of Magento?
