How can I add sub menus to the main navigation menu?

Hello,

In your demo, some of the main navigation menus have sub menus with an arrow and window but I can’t figure out how to add this from the menu section. I did not install the demo data. Can you give me some instruction on how to do this without having to install all of the demo data?
