Product variations

Hello! I have a product set with an attribute called color and 4 color variations in place. The problem is the variations are not showing at all and I get an error in the page saying the product is not available even when I have it in stock. If I had a product with variations loaded I could check the configuration, but the demo you guys provide does not contain any variable product; on the other hand, your documentation does not mention anything about it either, so, I’m tied here. Would you please point me in the right direction?
