How to Remove category thumbnail on category page.

I would like to remove the thumbnail image for the actual category page. For example lets say I have Main Category 1 and under Main Category 1 I have subcategories Sub Cat 1, Sub Cat 2 and Sub Cat 3. I added images for all the subcategories so when you click on the Main Category 1 it will show all the subcategories with the images. The problem is for example when you click on the Sub Cat 1 I only want the products to show I don’t want the subcategory image to show. Please refer to the image
