Hot Deals not working and Slow theme

Hello,
The Hot Deals Section is not working, no matter what i do.
I’m using the following configuration

<block type="products/deals" name="home.right.hotdeal" before="-">
                        <action method="setConfig">
                            <name>

                                <product_limitation>12</product_limitation>
<product_source>product</product_source>
<product_ids>186,185,184,183,182</product_ids>

                    </block>

And its still show me There are no products matching the selection.

Also, my theme is very slow, its about 10 sec to load the site.
