Categories not showing (error)

Hi guys, i got this error when i create the first category.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mage_Catalog_Helper_Category_Flat::isAvailable() in /home/mercad13/public_html/app/code/local/Sns/Avan/Block/Navigation.php on line 57

What should i do?
