Cannot delete item in Shopping Cart

Hello,
When we try deleting an item from our shopping cart, the screen goes grey, and the loader gif appears, but it keeps “loading”

In the console is the following error:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.(oursite).com/checkout/cart/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint 'http://www.(oursite).com/checkout/cart/delete/id/7778/uenc/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cucG9zdGRyaXZlci5jb20vY2hlY2tvdXQvY2FydC8,/'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
