We’ve been fiddling with things and have managed to improve the speed of the home page with the following:
1) Disabling less compression (see attached)
2) Removing / commenting out the ‘section.amodaheader.no3’ block in the ‘Page Layout’ layout update XML
3) Simplifying the number of dynamic items on the home page reduced load time significantly
