Now the theme is installed in magento1 directory right, so should i delete the old directories magento and quick start?
also would it effect the functionality of the site if I move all the files from magento1 to public directory?

Also I tr y to update the “© 2014 Magento Demo Store.” in the footer but it isn’t working. IDK why!
